That&#039;s a perfectly sensible opinion and that&#039;s exactly how StepRep will operate. We don&#039;t get a dime until you get a dollar in your pocket. If no transaction is made - if you don&#039;t get an actual, paying customer out of it - we get nothing.

But I&#039;m grateful to Doug for raising this. It&#039;s good to hear back from people and see where the message is failing to get across. Today I&#039;m going to work on a longer blog post explaining the referral model in greater detail.

		<description>That is a terrible business model.  $100 for a referral.  As an interior painter I would not pay $10 for a customer referral until I ahve been paid by that customer.

The internet is meant to be &quot;FREE&quot;.  Until this service is 100% free it is going to die a slow death.
